2009-2010 Racing Format for VSQMA

Safety opens at 7:15 am  -    Sign in opens at 8:00am  -  Sign in closes at 8:45am (sign in after 8:45am tags the field)
Pit Meeting at 9:10am - Drivers meeting to immediately follow - Racing will start at 9:30am
Standard format: 2 Heats and a Main  -  Qualifying format: Qualifying, 1 Heat, and a Main.
Practice will be PRIOR to the Pit Meeting  -  You must go through safety before practice!
Driver Must be present during safety inspection!
If you wish to practice, please follow this schedule:
7:40- 8:00am NOVICES ONLY  -  8:00-8:20am - Jr. Classes  -  8:25-8:45am - Sr. Classes  -  8:45- 9:05am - 160's, B's etc.
No more than 7 cars on the track at once!
No more than 5 minutes at a time, be considerate of others who wish to practice.

Track Practice will close at 9:05am Sharp

For those parking on the lower pit area, we ask for your cooperation in trying to be in your parking space by 7:15AM. There will be cars in the line up to practice, after that time.

Safety and Tech

All competitors must conform to the QMA Rule Book and all NCQMA rules and regulations. Failure to do so will result in penalties as described by NCQMA and QMA.

Fuel/Oil Policy:
Track fuel for VSQMA races is midgrade unleaded from the Circle K at Central and Dobbins. A control sample of fuel purchased the day of the race will be used to test fuel durring  the day.

Tire Treatment Policy:
QMA rules do not allow tires to be covered, wrapped in saran wrap, or wrapped in the factory plastic wrap outside of the trailer at any QMA track or event. Tire treatments are prohibited. Tires that have been treated are considered illegal and are subject to discipline per QMA rules.
Anyone found using illegal fuel or fuel/oil additives will be disciplined according to the QMA rulebook.

GX-120 Flywheel:
Effective January 1, 2009 the Tier III flywheel (part # 31100-ZEO-020) is mandatory on all GX-120 engines. The magnet is black in color on the Tier III flywheel as opposed to white on the Tier II flywheel. GX-120 engines will no longer be legal using the QMA offset key.

Car Inspections:
All Cars must pass Safety Inspection before allowed to Race
Safety Sheets need to be completed and signed by the VSQMA Safety Director before Sign-ins

Seat Belts:
Everyone needs to check the dates on their seatbelts. If the date is expired, the seatbelts will need to be changed. There will be spot checks on this. This is a DQ, please make sure your car has seatbelts with current dates.

Fuel Tank:
The fuel tank overflow line needs to be below the belly pan on the car or to the outside of the frame rails. Please make sure you are in compliance.
