Meeting called to order at 7:05pm.


Attendance: 14 members, five of which were board members

Parking:

We can make room for 8 spots on the bottom we need to sell them to get money for our Club. There are 12 spots in each row on the top that we need to sell as well.

Parking Pricing for the 2011-2012 Season:

$150/below

$100/top 1st and 2nd Row

(These prices include all races for the Season including any National Races)

Pay by the Race price:

National Race $50/race

Bottom $25/race

Top 1st and 2nd Row $15/race

Requested spots for the bottom:

Almon, Erickson, Tait, Edwards, Heath, Bradbury, Sharon Sneva

Requested spots for the top:

Bieber, Stewart, RSS Industries, Seismore, Davis, Bunch

(At Saturdays race every parking spot is first come first serve. The spot you park at will be your for the season.)

Parking Fee is due October 29th 2011. If not paid by then the families that have requested spots will loose their spot and will be sold to another member.


Memberships 2011-2012 Season:

Memberships are due. Current memberships are good through December 31, 2011. $150 family, $25 1st Alternate Handler and $50 for 2nd Alternate Handler plus.


State Fair Races:

We will have the facility available to us at Noon on Thursday October 20th and Wednesday November 2nd. Practice starts at 4:00. Racing from 5:00-9:00pm.

Two complete shows on each day. Car count will determine how many classes we will run. No Tire Rule. Hoping we will have families from other Clubs joins us this year. Marty will try to get Windy McDonald to Announce. Try to get Sponsors for the races $100 with Banner and $150 with out banner.


Nascar

Nascar wants us back for Saturday November 12 from 8:30am6:30pm. Sunday November 13 from 8:00am6:00pm. We need 10 people to work the booth on Saturday and 12 people on Sunday. Deadline for worker list is Thursday October 20th at 5:00pm. Saturday November 5th at 9:30am there will be an Orientation at Speed Cantina. (It is Ernie Bose Weekend; I will not be able to attend)

Credential Requirements: No one under 18 selling alcohol. 16 plus can be in non-alcohol area but must have parental consent. Must show ID at time of check in and I need date of birth.

The Club will get 10% of all sales plus we get to keep any tips.


Snack Bar:

We cleaned out and cleaned the snack bar at the work party. We need 2 ice chests.

Racecievers:

The Club will sell Racecivers for $85. Rent for $10/race.


Job Duties on Raceday:

Just as a reminder this is a volunteer sport. This is a list of everything that needs to be done prior to starting a race.

Then at the end of the day everything needs to be put away.


Qualifying Race:

Need to schedule a qualifying race.

Meeting with Park:

Marty and Kandice Attridge had a meeting with South Mountain Parks top advisors. They asked for the Park to allow us to do 6 things.

We would have completed in the next 5 years. 5 city officials were in attendance. Have not heard back from the Park yet.


Trophies:

We have a lot of extra trophies glass, plaques from Desert Shoot Out.

Racers for Christ:

Organization sends out Chaplains to say a prayer before National Anthem is played prior to race. Chaplin will be separate/individual prayers if families would like. One of our members Kelly Springerly is finishing his Chaplin classes now.

Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Coalition:

Our member Seth Tyler presented to our Club his organization. Started 10-31-09 by his sergeant. Gave facts to the club about Child Abuse in Arizona. He is wanting the Club to help promote the Coalition by getting the awareness out there and he will try to get us News coverage and promote our Club. Marty Tait suggested VSQMA incorporating with the Coalition for both of our State Fair Races. Seth will get stickers made for all the quarter midgets, goodie bags for the kids and try to get news coverage. He will also be brings representatives from the Coalition to the races.


Main Event Win Stickers:

We are almost out should Betsy order more. Club said yes. Scott Sutton has a new logo he will present to the Club.
